Throughout this assignment you will use discussions and inspiration gathered from sources around your own community to begin formulating an idea for your own project on public art. You will use digital programs to combine your own personal images with your original ideas to create a final visual artwork.
Overarching Questions
Throughout this unit you will be discussing the many different reasons WHY people create art in public spaces. What purpose does it serve? Is it a claiming of territory? A social or political statement? Is it beautifying a space? Is it placed for entertainment value? Does it serve a function? Can people interact with it?

Proposal:Your reflection for this assignment is to write a proposal to someone in charge. Your goal is to convince them that your work of art is best for the space you have placed it in.
