What is Surrealism?A 20th-century avant-garde movement in art and literature that sought to release the creative potential of the unconscious mind, for example by the irrational juxtaposition of images.
These images are dream like, in that they include realistic content combined in a way that could never happen in real life. Pioneers of the Style:Salvador Dali: One of the pioneers of Surrealism and often the first artist one thinks of when mentioning Surrealism.
