Pyramid Shading
For this assignment you will be using your shading techniques to make triangles appear to look like pyramids coming out of the paper. While it may look complicated, I am going to break it down and you will see that it becomes quite simple and the result will be awesome and help you hone your value skills at the same time.

To begin, you will use a ruler and a mechanical pencil to create a 4 x 4 grid on your small square of paper. Once your grid is created you will draw diagonally across those boxes to create your initial triangles.
Next you will begin to go around each pyramid and apply an even layer of value, using the corresponding pencil. This will be the base of your pyramids. From here you will use your kneaded eraser and your pencils to create a gradation from dark to light on each of the triangles. (darker at the base and lighter at the top.)
Voila! Perfect Pyramids!
